How to Style Chiffon (And Stop the Slipping!)

How to Style Chiffon (And Stop the Slipping!)

We all love the look of chiffon, but we all hate the same thing: The Slip. Does your hijab slide back all day? Do you have to keep fixing it?

Here is the secret to making it stay all day long.

The Secret to "No-Slip"

Chiffon is smooth, so it slides against smooth hair. You need to add grip.

  1. Wear a Cotton Cap: A cotton "undercap" is not slippery. It grabs onto the chiffon and holds it
  2. Use Magnets, Not Pins: Regular pins can poke holes in your nice scarf. Use strong magnets under your chin. They hold tight and don't make holes.

Style 1: The Everyday Look

Best for: Work, school, or lunch with friends.

  1. Put the hijab on your head. Make one side short and one side long.
  2. Clip it under your chin with a magnet.
  3. Take the long side and wrap it loosely around your head.Let it hang down over your shoulder. Done!

Style 2: The Turban (The "Clean" Look)

Best for: Busy days or showing off a high-neck shirt.

  1. Put on your cotton cap.
  2. Wrap the scarf tightly around your head.
  3. Tuck the ends into the back of your shirt or pin them at the back of your neck.

Style 3: The Party Look (Weddings)

Best for: Looking fancy.

  1. Put the scarf on your head.
  2. Throw one side over your shoulder.
  3. Let the rest of the fabric hang loose. This creates soft "waves" or layers that look very elegant.
